England's 2018's World Cup hopes were given a further lift after a key meeting between FIFA powerbroker Jack Warner and Prince William.
Warner swapped jokes with Prince William about his forthcoming marriage and David Beckham was also present at the get-together in Zurich.
Warner is president of the CONCACAF federation of countries from the Caribbean, north and central America and he tonight confirmed all three of their FIFA members would be voting as a bloc - if England secure these it would be a big step on the road to success in tomorrow's vote.
In the meeting, Warner took time to congratulate the Prince on his engagement to Kate Middleton, jokingly telling him that a good marriage is like "a good football match - to win it you must be determined and willing to work hard, and your tactics may have to change from time to time."
He also confirmed that he, USA's Chuck Blazer and Rafael Salguero would vote together. "The CONCACAF family stick together as ever."
Warner also met former USA president Bill Clinton.
He added: "The US is part of the CONCACAF family and we will not abandon our family.
"Like this bid team, I too have a vested interest in seeing the World Cup return to CONCACAF. As President of the Confederation it would bring me no greater joy than to see the world's greatest tournament return to our region.
"We are a diverse region ready and willing to welcome the world yet again. My passion for this quest burns deeply.
"In 2022 I do not know where I will be, but now I know where I am - I am fully behind the US bid."
William and Beckham also met Thailand's FIFA member Worawi Makudi and Korea's Chung Mong Joon.
