England goalscorer Joe Cole felt England had produced one the best performances of their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign after tonight's 3-0 win in Estonia.
Goals from Cole, Peter Crouch and Michael Owen ensured England ended their season with a comfortable win in Tallinn.
Steve McClaren's side remain fourth in Group E but they are just three points behind leaders Israel with five games to go.
Cole told Sky Sports: "We started brilliantly. It was the best we have started, we were in their faces and making tackles.
"Tactically we got it spot on and the first 20 minutes was when the game was won. We were not one up but mentally they knew we were up for it."
Cole opened the scoring with a fine turn and strike after 37 minutes, ensuring a satisfactory end to an injury-disrupted season.
The Chelsea midfielder added: "It's been a long old season for me. I've only been back playing two months and it's nice to get back with England and nice to be back with the lads helping them qualify, hopefully."
On his goal, he said: "I knew the angle was tight and I only had a maximum of two touches. It was nice to see it go in but they can easily go into the top tier of the stadium."
