CAMEROON and Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o has threatened to pull out of the World Cup in South Africa after his performances were criticised by legendary countryman Roger Milla.
Inter Milan forward Eto'o has reacted angrily to the 1990 World Cup star's assessment of his performances for the national side and has told France's Canal Plus Sport he may walk away from the tournament altogether.
"Is it worth me going to the World Cup?" Eto'o said.
"I still have a few days to think about it but I will see if my participation is important because I don't need this in my career."
Eto'o, who missed Friday's 1-1 draw with Slovakia, was named in manager Paul Le Guen's 23-man squad on Saturday.
While striker Jacques Zoua was already out through injury, Le Guen cut another six names from his squad. Jean Patrick Abouna Ndzana, Amour Patrick Tignyemb, Makadji Boukar, Jean Patrick Abouna Ndzana, Marcel Ndjeng, Patrick Mevoungou and Dorge Kouemaha are the names dropped.
Arsenal's Alex Song - and veteran uncle Rigobert - will be on the plane, as will Tottenham pair Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Sebastien Bassong.
