Chelsea captain John Terry believes his side are playing with confidence after sneaking a 1-0 win in Porto to finish top of Group D.
Nicolas Anelka, who scored the winner when the two teams met at Stamford Bridge, stooped to head home a cross from Florent Malouda in the 69th minute after good work by Yuri Zhirkov.
Overall it was another uninspiring performance from the Blues, who had the woodwork to thank in the first half when Fernando Belluschi's 25-yard effort smashed off the crossbar, but Terry is happy with the momentum of his side heading into a key league showdown with Arsenal at the weekend.
He told Sky Sports 2: "It's always going to be difficult coming here, they are a very good side with good players. I thought we dealt well with it and did what we had to do.
"We looked confident, we're playing with confidence. We've got some tough games coming up, we need to regroup now and make sure we're sharp for Arsenal. It was a good performance."
Striker Didier Drogba returned to Carlo Ancelotti's side and praised the creators of the goal.
"I think you have to credit Yuri, he was at the beginning of the goal and it was good by Flo, his vision is very good and he made the right decision to give it to Nico," he said.
"It was very important to finish top of the group and to win here. It's really nice.
"It was difficult for me after being out for two weeks to come in in a game like this. It's not easy but it was good to have a run."
Ancelotti told Sky Sports 2: "The most important thing is to reach the objective, it was important to be top of the list and get a good draw in the future.
"The game was good, to win here is not easy but we had a good match, a good result and a good victory, so we are happy.
"The Champions League is our aim for the future. We have played very well in this group and we have to focus on the Premier League now."
