In the new FourFourTwo,  on sale now, we lift the lid on the Reds Revolution that has swept through Adelaide that took them from dead last after eight rounds to an historic double.

The massive magazine feature traces the inside story of the turnaround in Adelaide's fortunes which had its roots in the changes brought in by previous Spanish coach Josep Gombau, but then built on crucially by rookie replacement, Guillermo Amor.

But talismanic Reds playmaker Carrusca reveals even the players couldn't imagine the success that would come last season.

"We started the season very bad," he tells FourFourTwo. "It was hard to change the system that we had with Josep Gombau and intend to understand what Guillermo wanted.

"But once we understood, we knew we could do something important.

"We didn't think we'd go on and win it all, but we believed in our abilities."

Carrusca added: "The way the team turned the situation around to go from last after eight rounds was incredible.

"The courage that the team showed, the will that everyone had...the union was the most important within the team on and off the pitch."
