David Moyes celebrated his fifth anniversary as Everton boss with another famous scalp as his side beat Arsenal 1-0 to move into sixth spot in the Barclays Premiership.
And the Everton chief paid tribute to his side, who took the points with a last-gasp Andrew Johnson strike and are one step closer to qualifying for Europe via the UEFA Cup.
He said: "It was terrific to score like that in the last minute to send the fans away happy.
"It was a big win for us, that is four points we have taken from Arsenal this season and we have also done that to Liverpool, so we are moving in the right direction.
"We are well organised, disciplined, and we know when we play against the top sides we have to concentrate.
"We are trying to improve our skill, our footballing side, and we are doing that. We stuck to the task and beat a good side.
"I told them they would have to run further than they had done in any game this season. They certainly did that."
Moyes was full of praise for his match-winning striker and tipped him to succeed at international level.
"Andy is definitely up to the task of playing for England. If England have got the players who can put him into the box, he will get through and score," he said.
"He is always a threat, always on the shoulder of the last defender and he is always likely to get in behind a defence with his pace.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger saw his side fail to take a firm grip on third spot in the league and admitted his players looked tired.
He said: "We are a bit jaded physically, and we did not make the most of our opportunities. The final ball was not good enough, even though we battled well to the end.
"The spirit was excellent, but we didn't create enough. The conditions were not good, but they were the same for everyone.
"We are not guaranteed to be in the top four and we want to be in there, we have a difficult programme and must not fail to be in that top four.
"It is very frustrating not being able to make the most of our chances when we play well. This month, mentally, has been very hard for us.
"We lost at Blackburn in the last minute, we lost to Eindhoven late in the game and the same against Everton as well as losing a late goal to Chelsea in the Carling Cup Final.
"What we are missing is the maturity to deal with that."
Wenger also revealed that Theo Walcott will not play again this season and will have shoulder surgery this week.
Wenger said: "Walcott's season is over. He will have surgery on Tuesday. The medical advice is to do it now.
"He was doing well until he damaged his shoulder, now he is only 50% of what he was before.
"You can see that now. He was on for only 10 minutes and his shoulder popped out, you cannot play football like that."
