The versatile Heitinga, 25 signed for the Toffees from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day in August for around A$10m while Neill inked a deal shortly after following his move away from West Ham.

The Aussie skipper says the banter has already begun between the pair in the lead up to the highly anticipated clash that is set to also include fellow Everton teammate, Tim Cahill.

"It's started a couple of days in training before we came over. And it's easy for us to get on as we both new at the club. You often find a bond develops quickly there," Neill told au.fourfourtwo.com at the filming for his Sony TV ad.

"But they're [Holland] excited about being here because they're coming to Australia and a lot of them have never been, and also because they know it's going to be a very competitive game for them - especially after the last result in Eindhoven.

"And for us it's a fantastic challenge to take on the world number three that technically we know we'll be up against.

"It's a test for us as a team in preparation for South Africa. It ticks all the boxes. And the fact we're playing in Sydney, with a full house, it's all very exciting."

Socceroo midfielder Vince Grella has stressed this week the importance of the Oman game four days later - a crucial 2011 Asian Cup qualifier at Etihad stadium.

Neill agrees but adds once the players are out there, they'll want to beat the Dutch tomorrow night at a packed SFS.

"Oman is more important because there is a tournament at stake and I think all games now leading up to the World Cup are very important," he said.

"The manager is trying to pick his 23 and everyone is trying to make sure they are well and truly involved so the only way to get involved in the competitive games is to be involved in the friendlies.

"With Oman, the boys have stumbled in the qualification path and it's a game we need nothing short of three points to make sure we get the Socceroo train back on the tracks."
