AC Milan forward Kaka has requested not to be included in Brazil's Copa America squad claiming he is in need of a rest.
In a letter to the Brazilian FA, Kaka explained that he hasn't had a break since 2005 having played for the national team in the Confederations Cup and the World Cup.
"I'm not in a good physical form to carry out the good level of preformance that is expected from me," wrote the former Sao Paulo player.
"I have not had a rest for three seasons and have not had a vacation due to football commitments with Milan and Brazil.
"In these three years I have played more than 180 matches (for the club and country) in competitions that demanded me at a top level that drained my physical condition which may cause injuries in the future."
