The Football Association have announced the winter transfer window will close on Monday, February 2.
Clubs will be able to buy players throughout January, however because January 31 falls on a Saturday they will be handed extra time to complete deals.
The FA have chosen to fall in line with most national bodies in Europe by announcing the extended deadline, to allow transfers to be processed at the start of the working week.
FA officials confirmed the arrangement following talks with Premier League and Football League chiefs.
