Both teams have taken six points from their opening two games in Group I ahead of the clash at Estadio Vicente Calderon in Madrid.

"We already know France more or less," Fabregas told reporters.

"They have had some changes, new players coming in who can play in different positions, but we are expecting the same system, the same style of play.

"(Karim) Benzema and (Franck) Ribery are still their two best players. (Yohan) Cabaye is also a great centre midfielder who gets around the pitch and makes things happen.

"We will need to play a good game if we are going to win, in my opinion."

Spain eliminated France in the knockout stage at Euro 2012 but coach Vicente Del Bosque remains wary of the unknown.

"They have used the same wide players more or less, as well as the forwards like Ribery and Benzema," Del Bosque said.

"But they have changed the centre backs, which has given them a different aspect.

"I think they are still a work in progress so we'll have to see what happens."

Xabi Alonso, who scored both goals in the 2-0 win over France in Donetsk, echoed Del Bosque's thoughts.

"I think they have changed things a bit in defence and we know that they have various options," he said.

"We know them well and they know us well. We can expect a similar game to the one in the Euros but anything can happen."
