Cesc Fabregas' father has denied reports he had a meeting with Real Madrid director general Jorge Valdano at the weekend after reports linked the Spain international with a move to the Bernabeu.
There has been speculation Fabregas snr, Francesc, attended Real's game with Valencia at the Bernabeu after television pictures claimed to show the Arsenal midfielder's father in a private box.
However, he categorically denied being there or having had talks with Valdano.
Fabregas snr said: "I was not at the Bernabeu."
He added: "Meeting with Valdano? It is totally false.
"On Monday morning I have been with my daughter walking around Barcelona, this is the only truth."
Speculation surrounding Fabregas is commonplace with the Spain international most often linked with a return to Barcelona although reports claimed last week Real would be his destination this summer.
