Falcao, who completed a big-money move from Atletico Madrid in May, is one of a handful of new players to have been brought in by manager Claudio Ranieri and he is impressed by the ambition the club has shown.

With that in mind, the Colombian is confident that the newly promoted Ligue 1 outfit will go all out to win as many trophies as possible with their new-look squad.

"We are very clear, we want to win all the competitions that we fight (for)," Falcao said at his official unveiling on Tuesday. "We will not (play in the) European Cup this season, it's like that, but we have big goals still.

"The club aims (for) titles. I am in the heart of the project. Some are amazed, but they will change opinion."

However, the 27-year-old remains focussed on helping the team and insisted that the club's performance is what matters, rather than his own goalscoring exploits.

"It is a new stage in my career in a new competition and with a club that has many goals," he continued.

"Our rival isn't a single team, but all the teams in the championship. We play every game to win.

"I'd love to be top scorer but the important thing is that the team is champion.

"I want to score as many goals (as) it will take to be champion. The important thing is the group."

Fellow new signing Joao Moutinho added that he was convinced by the club's attitude and ambition.

The former Porto midfielder said: "The professionalism of the club convinced me, the project to win titles could only interest me.

"I wanted to discover another championship, I am very happy to be here. It is important to qualify for the Champions League, we will fight for it."
