EXCLUSIVE: Star New Zealand striker Rory Fallon is wanted by clubs in Turkey and China as the reputation of the All-Whites continues to blossom.
Chinese club Shenzhen FC submitted an offer to Fallon's management that included a monthly salary of US$35,000, plus a house, a car and bonuses, report O Kosmos columnists Tony and Xanthie Rallis.
Fallon is said to have considered the offer but the Shane Smeltz transfer saga in China is believed to have put him off playing in China.
Fallon is contracted to Plymouth in England and has one more year on the current contract.
It was not the only offer Fallon knocked back this month. Turkish club Konyaspor were keen on adding the tall targetman to their roster.
The Fallon interest continues a trend of Kiwi players in demand across the world. Auckland City and All-White star Ivan Vicelich has signed a four-month loan with Chinese club Shenzhen Ruby.
The Chinese Super League club, coached by former Olympiakos coach Sinisa Gogic, also recently signed All-White striker Chris Killen from Middlesbrough.
Meanwhile, the dispute between Shane Smeltz and Shandong Luneng may not be settled but the Chinese club has already sounded out a replacement in Honduras International Julio Cesar Leon.
Leon has 76 senior International appearances and 15 goals to his name and has spent the last two seasons on loan with Italy's Torino. Leon, who is owned by Parma FC, has been plying his trade in Italy for the past six years.
