NEW Zealand striker Rory Fallon is warning the Socceroos that Monday night's clash in Melbourne will be 'friendly' in name only and he certainly won't be holding back.
Fallon, the man who scored the vital goal that secured New Zealand's spot in South Africa, is even predicting a few bumps and bruises from the contest.
''When it comes to playing Australia, all bets are off,'' he told NZPA.
''I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few injuries. I don't think anyone is going to hold back against them. I'm certainly not going to hold back.''
Fallon believes Australia will also be fired up for the occasion.
''They probably say they have a lot better pros and they won't want to lose this, and we want to win it,'' he added.
''It's going to be a good game. It's going to be one of those games where everyone is going to get stuck in.''
Vice skipper Tim Brown also believes the game is an important part of World Cup preparations.
He said: "It's the first big challenge for us and we want to set the tone for the whole trip."
