But Sydney coach John Kosmina escaped without penalty for his remarks after losing to Perth on Sunday.

An FFA statement said: "Contrary to some media reports, FFA has determined that Kosmina's comments are not prejudicial to an individual.

"Therefore FFA will not be taking any further action against Sydney FC or John Kosmina."

However they came down heavily on Farina, also fining the club a further $1000 (suspended), after the former Socceroos coach spoke out against apparent offside calls that went against his side.

Farina incurred the wrath of authorities for saying officials were blind.

The FFA statement added: "Farina, has been fined $2,000 for breaching clause 5.1 of the National Code of Conduct in respect of public statements he made about the match officials following the Queensland Roar v Adelaide United match last Friday.

"Queensland Roar have received a suspended fine of $1,000 for breach of clause 5.2 of the National Code of Conduct."
