SYDNEY FC coach Frank Farina says his side “were lacking in every department” after going down 2-0 to Western Sydney Wanderers in Saturday night's Sydney Derby at Allianz Stadium.

The Sky Blues barely had a shot on target as goals from Youssouf Hersi and Michael Beauchamp decided the contest in front of more than 26,000 fans.
“We didn't turn up to the races today,” Farina told Fox Sports. “We were lacking in every department.
“As soon as they scored, we were out-enthused. They were the better team on the inght.
“We have got to improve. It was a good performance last week followed by a pretty average one this week.”
He added: “We didn't really create any chances of real note so that's an area (we need to work on). Defensively we need to work there too.”
Marquee Alessandro Del Piero started on the bench and was only introduced with 20 minutes to go. Farina explained the situation and said the Italian wasn't 100 per cent fit.
“He was never going to be able to start. We were looking for around 20 minutes from him,” the former Socceroos coach said.
Farina refused to be drawn on any transfer targets in January despite Sydney now occupying bottom spot outright.
“Certainly now is not the time. It's very emotional, whether you win or lose and tonight is no different,” he said.
“There's still 16-17 games to go but we've got to play better than we did tonight.”
Sydney's next match is away to the out-of-sorts Newcastle Jets on Saturday evening.
