Federici, who impressed in Australia's 0-0 draw with Serbia last week, has been linked with Premier League clubs such as Tottenham and Liverpool in the past.

The 26-year-old South Coast product has been with the Royals since 2005 and still has two years to run on his current contract.

"I'll think about things while I'm away then see where I am," Federici told the Reading Chronicle.

"I've got another two years left on my contract with Reading so we will see."

The Royals, who were relegated from the Premier League in 2008, fell at the final hurdle in their bid for promotion back to the top flight last month after losing the play-off final to Swansea City 4-2.

However, Federici said he believes Reading possesses a squad which is capable of earning promotion next term, in a sign he may be happy to remain at Madejski Stadium.

“There are loads of positives to take from last season which will make us stronger as a team,” Federici said.

"Hopefully we can keep as much of the team together as possible then I think we will have every opportunity of going up automatically instead of through the play-offs.

"We had to rebuild when we dropped down from the Premier League and we're still in that stage at the moment.

“But we've got a great manager (Brian McDermott) and a great set-up. Everything is ready to go and we're excited about the future."
