The visitors ended the first half a goal down and a man down as Luis Aragones' side took the lead through fellow Spaniard Dani Guiza after 11 minutes before Volkan Arslan received a straight red card two minutes before the break.

Yesterday Sivasspor moved top of the table on goal difference with a 2-1 victory over Hacettepe SK, second-placed Trabzonspor fell to a last-gasp 2-1 defeat at Bursaspor, Besiktas managed a 1-0 win over Ankaragucu, while Kayserispor beat Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK 2-0.

On Friday third-placed Galatasaray picked up a 3-1 victory away to Genclerbirligi.
