Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will not push Dimitar Berbatov out of the club despite an expected exit.
The Bulgaria international produced an impressive display in the 1-0 win over South Africa's Amazulu, providing the assist for Federico Macheda's winner.
But the 31-year-old has claimed that it is time to 'say goodbye' and that he is available for five million pounds, with Galatasaray confirmed to be interested in his services.
"The boy obviously wants to leave," Ferguson told the club's official website.
"I'm easy about it. If he stays, I'll be happy. If somebody comes in for him and Dimitar wants to leave, we'll assess it."
Berbatov’s agent, Emil Danchev, has reportedly been attempting to orchestrate a move to Spanish side Malaga, but that has been derailed as authorities continue to investigate the club over alleged non-payment of wages and tax evasion.
Premier League new boys West Ham recently concluded a deal for Sochaux striker Modibo Maiga to seemingly end their interest in the frontman, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic's move to Paris Saint-Germain has also appeared to close that possibility.
But Sir Alex is confident that Berbatov will find a new club with ease, given his 'fantastic talent'.
"I don't need to herald Dimitar's abilities," the veteran manager added.
"He's a fantastic talent. He didn't get the amount of football he wanted last season.
"It's difficult for him at his age to accept second place in the forward line. The likes of (Wayne) Rooney, Chicharito, (Danny) Welbeck were all in front of him last season.
"It's been difficult. But in fairness to him (against Amazulu) he applied himself well and did very well with the first goal."
