NEC Nijmegen defender Dani Fernandez has agreed to remain at the club on loan next season.
Fernandez joined NEC in January from Ukrainian side Metallurg Donetsk and impressed coach Mario Been. The club would have preferred to sign him on a permanent deal but lack the necessary finances.
A statement on the club's website read: "Fernandez reached a verbal agreement with NEC on Monday. He will sign a new contract later in the week."
