As FFA's technology partner, Cisco will provide video conferencing technology TelePresence for virtual face-to-face meetings with stakeholders around the world.

FFA CEO Ben Buckley said the technology lets it "connect with the world to let us deliver one of the best ever World Cups.

"This is about connectivity, it's about bringing people closer together, it's about looking at interacting in a much more cost effective way," he said.

"And importantly it's about two leading organisations in their fields working together to deliver solutions that help enhance the way we do business."

Cisco joins Qantas as a sponsor.

Les Williamson, vice president of Cisco Australia and New Zealand said Cisco is "excited" to enable the differentiation to Australia's bid.

He added: "TelePresence is just one aspect of how we intend to enable our World Cup bid to differentiate, to link to the world, to let the world view our uniqueness and differentials as such so we can be successful for the 2018-2022 bid."

Buckley said TelePresence will be rolled out across its consultancy network in four locations in a few weeks.
