Matildas fever has swept the nation following their stunning performances against the world's best teams in 2017.

The Australian women's national team recently sweeped the Tournament of Nations in the United States, beating hosts USA, Japan and Brazil on their way to the trophy.

The Matildas then backed it up with a sweep of a two-game series against Brazil in NSW, with 2-1 and 3-2 wins respectively over the South Americans in Penrith and Newcastle.

FFA have capitalised on their amazing form, scheduling another two-game series against China in Victoria in November.

The games will see the Matildas take on their AFC rivals in Melbourne at AAMI Park on November 22, and then against four days later at Simonds Stadium in Geelong.

However, the November 22 date for the AAMI Park friendly clashes with the original date for the FFA Cup final.

One team from Victoria - South Melbourne - remains in the competition, and a win in their semi-final against Sydney FC would see them with a chance of hosting the final against Western Sydney Wanderers or Adelaide United.

However, with the Matildas clash with China already locked in, FFA are set to shift the date for the Cup final to either November 21 or November 23 to avoid a clash.

An official announcement is expected in the coming days.
