While the semi-final dates were originally scheduled to be between October 17 and 25, a stadium clash has seen South Melbourne's fixture with Sydney FC brought forward by a week.

With Lakeside Stadium unavailable for a period of time, FFA confirmed the match would take place at the venue on October 11. 

An effort was made to keep the game at Lakeside, with a neutral venue in Melbourne or a swap with Sydney mooted. 

However, FFA ensured the game would be kept at South's home ground to keep up with the competition's 'Magic Of The Cup' mantra. 

Meanwhile, Western Sydney Wanderers and Adelaide United will contest the other semi-final at Campbelltown Stadium on October 24. 

Both games kick-off at 19:30 AEDT.
