Holders Sevilla led a Spanish stampede into the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup with only Werder Bremen gatecrashing what is now almost an all-Primera Liga affair.
Osasuna and Espanyol were the other two Spanish clubs to make it into the last four.
Sevilla survived a second-half Tottenham onslaught at White Hart Lane to draw 2-2 on the night and progress 4-3 on aggregate.
The Spanish side extended their lead from the first leg with two early strikes, the first a Steed Malbranque own goal and the second from former Spurs striker Frederic Kanoute.
Jermain Defoe came on to pull one back for Spurs before Aaron Lennon gave them hope, but the Spanish side held on despite the scare while the London-based club had Teemu Tainio sent off at the death.
Osasuna cruised into the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup with a 1-0 win in their quarter-final second leg against Bayer Leverkusen.
The Pamplona-based club's progression was never in serious doubt after a comprehensive 3-0 win in the first leg at the BayArena a week ago and even the most optimistic of Leverkusen fans must have known, barring a minor miracle, this would be their last match in the competition this season.
And so it proved as a goal just after the hour mark from midfielder Juanlu Gomez sent Osasuna through 4-0 on aggregate.
Benfica could not complete the job they began in such stirring fashion a week ago as they exited the UEFA Cup with a 0-0 second-leg draw with Espanyol.
Having trailed 3-0 in the first leg in Spain, a late rally saw the Portuguese side make themselves favourites to progress, with two away goals leaving them needing just one more to go through.
But back in Lisbon they failed to complete the job as Barcelona-based Espanyol shut them out.
Werder Bremen tore AZ Alkmaar to shreds in their UEFA Cup quarter-final second leg match on Thursday to book a place in the last four.
Goals from Tim Borowski and Miroslav Klose in the first half sandwiching Moussa Dembele's strike for AZ gave the German hosts the advantage after a goalless first leg in the Netherlands.
Second-half strikes from Klose and Diego then ensured an emphatic 4-1 scoreline for Thomas Schaaf's side.
Sevilla will duel with Osasuna in an all-Spanish semi-final while Bremen must measure up to Espanyol.
