FIFA marketing director Thierry Weil is delighted with Brazilian fans' enthusiasm ahead of next year's World Cup.
Weil believes high numbers of early ticket applications demonstrate a sign of positivity from the Brazilian people for the showpiece event.
"We have currently 2.3 million requests after 24 hours of having opened the ticketing site and 88.5 per cent are from Brazilians so that demonstrates the attractiveness and the support of Brazilians to the World Cup," Weil said.
Concerns regarding Brazil's ability to host the event had surfaced following a public show of disapproval during the Confederations Cup earlier this year.
FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke is confident all the stadiums will be complete ahead of their deadline.
"I don't know if we are talking about acceleration but there is definitely still work to do," Valcke said.
"If you look at the three stadiums we have been at in Sao Paulo, after many discussions and meetings, are looking well."
