Protests outside the venue for the opening match of the FIFA Confederations Cup have marred preparations for the tournament.
Around 200 people burned tyres and blocked the main road in front of the Brasilia stadium, venue for the opening match of the tournament between Brazil and Japan on Saturday.
The protests are thought to have been sparked by a number of issues, including the cost of rebuilding the stadium in 2010 - with that figure reported to be in the region of 450 million euros.
And more disorder has apparently been threatened during a fan fest for Saturday's curtain-raiser, unless demands are met for protesters to meet with the president of Terracap (Development Agency for the Federal District).
The scenes will be of concern for Brazil ahead of a competition that will act as a warm-up event for the 2014 World Cup in the country next year.
World governing body and tournament organisers FIFA were said to be "monitoring" the situation.
