FIFA will give Football Federation Australia (FFA) almost $200,000 in travel costs for their upcoming World Cup play-off against Honduras.
According to reports out of Zurich, each of New Zealand, Peru, Honduras and Australia will receive a quarter of the USD $600,000 allocated by FIFA.
The USD $150k (approximately AUD $190,000) will come in handy for the team's as they travel halfway across the world to vie for a spot in the World Cup.
FFA are reportedly keen to get a charter plane for the Socceroos after the first leg of the play-off tie in Honduras, so they can fly as quickly as possible to Sydney for the return leg five days later.
New Zealand are in the same boat, with no direct flights serving Wellington and Lima for their second leg against Peru.
A key to the Socceroos' success in 2005 against Uruguay was being able to get a charter Qantas flight from Montevideo back to Sydney in time for the second leg.
The Socceroos also had a charter flight earlier this month following the first leg of their play-off with Syria.
