To see the mood in the city...

The Adelaide Advertiser had produced a special ACL souvenir issue that features au.fourfourtwo.com forum contributor Jimmy Agalidis on the front cover(see pic).

In the paper, local identities from AFL, politics, basketball and TV speak glowingly about the Reds and a game that's expected to reach 250 million viewers worldwide.

Local radio is also buzzing with talk about tonight's game as is local TV.
Meanwhile, in Rundle Mall Gamba fans are congregating and have begun already to talk of holding aloft the Champions League trophy.

The carnival atmosphere in the city was encapsulated by one Reds fan who told au.fourfourtwo.com, "My mate's in London and he said he's been watching Adelaide in the Champions League on Sky over there."

Another fan said, "The ACL is more important than the A-League – this is wordwide recognition for our club. It's unbelievable.

"I reckon the Jets can also be successful in 2009," added another Reds fan.

As for Gamba, large numbers of fans flew in this morning. One fan at Adelaide airport predicted Osaka would win 2-0."They will be system hardcore," he said.
