Former Sydney FC striker Joel Chianese is understood to have signed with A-League rivals Perth Glory.
Chianese flew out for Perth on Sunday to link-up with Kenny Lowe’s side ahead of Tuesday’s FFA Cup match against Sydney FC.
Until recently the 26-year-old was playing in Malaysia.
But despite scoring 10 goals in 15 appearances for Negeri Sembilan FA he was released mid-season along with fellow Australian Andrew Nabbout who was snapped by Newcastle Jets.
Chianese made 40 appearances for the Sky Blues over three seasons, scoring 11 goals.
Following his release by Sydney in 2014 he had stints with NSW NPL sides Sydney United and Bonnyrigg White Eagles and had a two-week trial for English side Swindon Town.
