James Donachie has been spotted at Melbourne Victory’s training ground and is likely to be returning to the Big V.
The centre-back won the 2018 A-League championship in Victory colours and has recently finished a season with K-League side Jeonnam Dragons who were relegated to the second division after finishing last.
The defenders in Victory’s squad who can play centrally include Raul Baena, Nick Ansell, Thomas Deng and Leigh Broxham.
It has also been reported that Ansell, who recently enjoyed a stint with Portuguese side Tondela, may well be on the way out.
Victory take on rivals Sydney FC at AAMI Park on Saturday night.
