Bruno Fornaroli marked his return from injury in style, with a terrific finish against Guangzhou R&F.
Melbourne City lost 4-1 to the Chinese Super League (CSL) side that are currently on a tour of Australia, based from South Melbourne's homeground Lakeside Stadium.
With Ross McCormack gone, Fornaroli couldn't have timed his scoring return any better, as the striker made it through an hour in the friendly. Whether he'll be rushed back to action against Sydney FC in City's next match remains to be seen.
Following Fornaroli's opener, things slid backwards for Warren Joyce's men. Guanghzou's Israeli striker, Eran Zahavi, scored a brace for the CSL team.
