Former Socceroo Tarek Elrich has left Adelaide United for a two-year deal with Western Sydney Wanderers.
Elrich - a Paramatta native - was one of the three inaugural Wanderers signings announced in June 2012, quickly establishing himself as one of the A-League's fiercest fullbacks.
The three-cap Socceroo moved to United in 2013, where he was named in the PFA Team of the Season for a second-time the following season, in addition to winning the Premiership / Championship double in 2015/16.Â
After missing most of last season with a knee injury, Elrich said he was hungry for success with Western Sydney.
“Both myself and my family are over the moon. I’m glad to be back where it all started for me,” Elrich said.
"I’m going to work as hard as I can to cement my spot in the team.
"I’ve been playing and training for a few months and it’s felt great and I’ve missed the game a lot so I’m actually really looking forward to putting on the boots again and playing in front of my friends and family."
