Goals from Scott Neville in the eighth minute and Scott Bulloch in the 73rd sealed the win as the Glory cruised in a free-flowing and attacking game with both sides' destiny for the 2009/10 post-season already decided coming into the contest.

The Glory finish the season in fifth position with 11 wins and six draws from 27 matches, while the Roar end an eventful campaign on and off the pitch with eight wins and six draws.

They will finish either in seventh or eighth position depending on the North Queensland-Gold Coast result.

The Glory were without injured foursome Chris Coyne (thigh), Jacob Burns (hamstring), Mile Sterjovski (back) and Victor Sikora (thigh) but remain hopeful all will be available to take on Wellington at Westpac Stadium next weekend.

Despite having nothing to play for, the Glory still wanted to head into next week's final with momentum and started strongly when Neville earned his first A-league goal in the eighth minute.

Todd Howarth put in a good ball to the box that Roar 'keeper Matthew Ham totally misread and couldn't latch onto.

Neville was waiting at the back and had an open goal waiting for him and he calmly put the ball in the net.

The game remained relatively open and free-flowing for the rest of the half with Brisbane getting into the contest with five shots and five corners up to half-time.

It wasn't able to get one past the returning Tando Velaphi in the Perth goals, though, but Luke DeVere and Adam Sarota did have gettable opportunities.

At the other end, the Glory continued to press but were struggling to stay onside.

For the half, they were called offside nine times, with the last time proving a close call when Daniel McBreen was deemed offside after a good set-up pass from Howarth.

Despite the chances for both teams and the attacking nature of the contest, Glory remained 1-0 up at the break.

Perth started the second half strongly as well and looked unlucky to not have a second goal in the 55th minute.

Andy Todd continued his great game to release an open McBreen in the box who slotted a good goal, however, he was deemed offside again in what was also a close call.

Only a few minutes later the Roar had a good chance to equalise when Henrique set up Sarota into space in the box but his shot was wide.

Glory's 11th win of the season was secured in the 73rd minute when Bulloch found himself with plenty of space in the box and he put it inside the far post to give Ham no chance.

The home crowd's day was almost capped off perfectly in the dying stages when Wayne Srhoj took a pot shot from just inside his own half.

It had beaten Roar 'keeper Ham, but sailed narrowly wide of the post.
