FFA will be conducting its annual National Technical Network Seminar at the AIS in Canberra from March 2-9 and FourFourTwo have been invited along to observe and share the content with our readers.
FourFourTwo Publisher and FFA B-Licence coach, Andy Jackson has been invited to attend the week-long event by FFA Head of Coach Education, Kelly Cross.
He will be joining the key personnel involved in the technical development of football in Australia, including National Team Coaches, State Technical Directors, NTC Coaches and Skill Acquisition Trainers.
“It is important to us that the right messages get out to the football family, and Andy has always demonstrated a willingness to learn about what FFA is striving to achieve, then report it to FourFourTwo’s wide readership” said Cross.
During the week there will be three main areas of focus for the Seminar:
- introduce and outline the second edition of the National Football Curriculum
- launch and explain the FFA’s new coaching manual 'The Football Coaching Process'
- begin the Presenter training process for the FFA’s restructured C Licence courses which includes the introduction of a youth specific advanced coaching qualification for the first time in Australia.
The FFA sees seminars of this nature and the outcomes that will flow through at all levels of the game another major step closer to Australia establishing its own 'standard national coaching language’.
Jackson said “I’d like to thank the FFA for the invitation to attend the Seminar and see the next evolution of the National Curriculum and the launch of the new coaching manual.
"Of particular interest to me is the roll out of the content for the new youth specific advanced coaching course as this is the area I’m personally involved in every day through my own coaching.”
FourFourTwo readers will be able to keep up to speed with what’s happening over the week by following Andy on Twitter (@Jacko442) and there will be a follow up feature in the magazine and digital editions on sale in April.
