The crucial clash kicks off at 10.30pm (AEDT) in China and comes after the youngsters topped their group then qualifed for the U20 World Cup in Colombia next yearby beating the United Arab Emirates 4-2 in the quarter finals.

Last night's 2-0 semi final win over Saudi Arabia followed by North Korea's 2-0 win over neighbours South Korea set the scene for Sunday's final showdown.

This afternoon Fox Sports and SBS were vying to win the rights to show the game in Australia, with Fox Sports ultimately winning the race.

“It is testament to Fox Sports’ commitment to football in Australia that they will broadcast this important continental championship match and we thank them for their support," said Buckley today.

“The Qantas Young Socceroos, lead by Head Coach Jan Versleijen and captain Ben Kantarovksi, have had a very successful tournament in China so far and it is fantastic that Australian football supporters will now be able to watch and cheer them on for Sunday’s final.

“I am sure I speak on behalf of all football supporters in Australia when we wish Jan and the players all the best for the match and I am confident that whatever the result they will do Australia proud.”
