France winger Florent Malouda was named French player of the year on an evening when Zinedine Zidane collected a lifetime's achievement award.
Malouda has had an excellent season with Lyon, helping them to a sixth consecutive title, but the 26-year-old has nevertheless indicated he wants to leave the club this summer.
He beat off opposition from Lens player Seydou Keita, Lille's Abdulkader Keita and Toulouse's Johan Elmander to win the award.
Malouda's boss Gerard Houllier won the coach's award, beating off Sochaux's Alain Perrin, Toulouse's Elie Baup and Bordeaux's Ricardo.
Zidane, meanwhile, was given a lifetime's achievement award.
The 34-year-old playmaker won the World Cup with France in 1998 and Euro 2000 two years later before ending his career in defeat in the 2006 World Cup final when he was sent off for headbutting Marco Materazzi of Italy.
Zidane told Canal Plus: "This makes me very happy because it's the last award I will receive. I would like to dedicate it to my mother and my wife who has had to put up with so much over 18 years."
Zidane also handed out the award to the young player of the year, Samir Nasri of Marseille.
