Ivan Franjic has signed with K-League outfit Daegu FC after terminating his deal with Melbourne City on Wednesday.
Reports emerged on Tuesday that Franjic was set for an overseas move, with the defender confirming the transfer on his Instagram account on Wednesday.
Franjic, 29, signed with City in 2015 after a disappointing stint in Russia with Torpedo Moscow, having spent five fruitful years at Brisbane Roar.
However, he has struggled to break into the Australian national team as of late, with this move highlighting his intentions to re-affirm himself in Ange Postecoglou's plans.
The Socceroos have two crucial World Cup qualfiers remaining away to Japan and at home to Thailand, and Franjic will be eager to impress the national team boss.
Daegu, who play in South Korea's top flight, are second from bottom after 21 games this season with only two wins from their last 16 games.
