SOCCEROO Tim Cahill has a new injury concern after David Moyes revealed he suffered foot and calf injuries in Everton's 1-1 Premier League draw with Wigan on Saturday.
The 32-year-old Australian, who has struggled for goals and form at Everton this season, had to be replaced at the break against the Latics.
Moyes revealed after the game that Cahill had sustained a knock to his foot and calf which forced him off.
“Tim Cahill got a foot injury in the first half early on and I was going to sub him but I hoped that I could get him through, but he had to come off at half time,” said Moyes.
“He’s got a bit of a foot problem and a calf as well.”
The extent of the injury remains unknown at this stage, but it adds to the likelihood Cahill will miss this month's 'dead rubber' World Cup qualifier against Saudi Arabia later this month.
