GRAHAM Arnold wants a punishing schedule of international friendlies lined up for the Olyroos ahead of the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
But he admits he's not even thinking about the tournament itself yet but is already under pressure to bring home a medal.
"Frank Lowy, the chairman, has said publicly he would like to get a medal," he told the ABC.
"I would love to get a medal so I think we need at least 20 to 25 international friendly games before the Olympics, and that will happen after the A-League finishes between the end of February and August next year."
Now Arnie plans a break to recover from a rollercoaster year before preparing for the Olympics.
"I'm going to have a holiday because I've been on the go now for a long time," he told the ABC. "2007's been a hard year for myself personally.
"For the players, they go back and finish the A-League and play in the A-League and I'd just like to say now that I'd just like to thank all the A-League clubs for their patience."
