Falkirk striker Alan Gow insists the club's season is far from over and has targeted victory over Celtic on Sunday to end their mini-slump.
The Bairns forward, who has signed a pre-contract to join boyhood favourites Rangers in the summer, has been disappointed with the team's recent poor performances.
John Hughes' men are on an eight-game losing run after being knocked out of both cup competitions and free-falling out of the top six in the Bank of Scotland Premier League.
But the 24-year-old believes the visit of Gordon Strachan's champions-elect to the Falkirk Stadium offers the chance for a surprise victory to begin their revival.
The Bairns last won against Dunfermline on January 13 and can no longer finish among the top half dozen teams.
Gow wants the barren run ended as Falkirk aim to finish seventh in the league this term.
He said: "There is still a job to do here. Sixth place is out of our reach now, but we want to finish as high up the table as we can.
"Financially for the club, I think it is a lot of money to finish seventh rather than further down.
"Teams are close to us, so we need to get as many points as we can. Seventh place would be a bonus.
"Playing Celtic is a great stage and a great occasion but that's why Celtic will be champions, they can raise their game for big or small games.
"Nobody wants to lose the games we've done and we'll just go out on Sunday to try to play passing football and work hard to win it."
Glasgow-born Gow missed last Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Hibernian after failing a late fitness test on a thigh strain.
But he was back in training in midweek and expects to be available to start against Celtic.
He added: "In a few recent games we've lost a bit of luck but in others we haven't played well enough, been slack as a team and got punished.
"Sunday is a massive game for us. Celtic still need to beat us as they are obviously looking to wrap up the title as soon as they can.
"But we'll go out to try to beat them. We've got nothing to lose.
"I'm delighted to have signed a pre-contract with Rangers but until I go there I'm still a Falkirk player."
