“There'll be a few niggles, a few scuffles, a little bit of heat and controversy. I'll put my house on it,” Fyfe tells au.fourfourtwo.com.

“What this shows is how passionate both sides are. But we are also very respectful of them.”

A Sydney FC victory will equal the club's record winning streak. And if Victory avoid defeat, they will extend their unbeaten streak to a club record 10 games.

Club officials are confident of reaching the 20,000 attendance mark for game one of the fixture this season.

Last season, Mark Rudan was red-carded in a fiery encounter at Telstra Dome while Robbie Middleby was shirtfronted by Adrian Leijer. These are the sorts of memories FC will want to banish, even though Middleby's quad strain has ruled him out of training this week.

Juninho is expected to come up against Kevin Muscat tomorrow night. However, Fyfe says the gutsy Brazilian should be able to cope with the physical onslaught from the former Socceroo alongside Scot Grant Brebner.

“Musky is very smart. But Junni [Juninho] knows what to expect and he's smart too. He'll be able to handle the situation. Junni might drift out left or right anyway.”

Fyfe added that the Victory forward line will need to be starved of possession. “Their forwards are excellent. Danny and Archie very dangerous. The key is probably to stop them getting the ball. The last thing you want is Archie having a good day at the office.”

He added: “Leandro Love has improved a lot. He's quite dangerous and very comfortable with the ball.

The 25-year-old Sydney defender will also take on his old mate Matt Kemp who's been passed fit.

“Matt's a great player, quality and a great bloke,” said Fyfe, who played alongside Kemp at Adelaide City in the old NSL.

“It's going to be a huge night.”
