AUSSIES ABROAD: Iain Fyfe played his part as Busan I'Park reached the final of the Korean K-League Cup on Wednesday after a 2-1 semi-final win over Suwon Bluewings.
Fyfe put in a full shift in defence as Busan came from a goal down to clinch a spot in the final thanks to Kim Han-Yoon's stoppage-time winner.
Elsewhere, Olyroos defender Luke DeVere played a full game as Gyeongnam FC missed out on a spot in the final after a 4-2 loss to Ulsan Hyundai.
Fyfe's Busan will face Ulsan Hyundai in the final on July 13.
In China's Super League, Joel Griffiths scored again as Beijing Guoan cruised to a 3-0 victory over Shanghai Shenhua on Wednesday.
The Australian striker, who put in a full shift for Guoan, scored the opening goal of the game on 10 minutes.
Griffiths worked a nice one-two with Guoan midfielder Wang Xiaolong who lofted a ball in behind the Shanghai defence, before the Australian finished coolly through the keeper's legs.
Elsewhere, in-form Bruce Djite came off the bench but couldn't keep his scoring run going as Jiangsu Sainty won 1-0 at Nanchang Bayi. Alex Wilkinson played a full game for Jiangsu.
Meanwhile, Dino Djulbic put in a full shift as Shaanxi Chanba won 1-0 at Qingdao Jonoon, Dean Heffernan played a full game as Liaoning Whowin defeated Tianjin Teda 2-0, while Adam Griffiths was a 69th-minute substitute as Hangzhou Greentown drew 1-1 at Dalian Shide.
Finally in China, Lawrie McKinna's Chengdu Blades suffered another defewat, going down 4-0 to leaders Guangzhou. Adam Kwasnik played a full game, while Brendon Santalab and John Hutchinson did not play.
In Japan's J.League, Socceroo Matt Spiranovic put in a full shift in defence, helping his side keep a clean sheet, as Urawa Reds drew 0-0 at Montedio Yamagata.
