Los Angeles is scheduled to face the Vancouver Whitecaps and then the Minnesota Thunder in early October, but those matches are in doubt. Their match against Sydney FC in November is so far still planned to go ahead though.

"There's a possibility they will be rescheduled but we are still looking to play those games," Galaxy spokesman Patrick Donnelly told PA Sport.

Beckham is expected to miss the rest of the MLS season after injuring his right knee during the SuperLiga final against Pachuca on August 30, one of 15 games the Galaxy played during a 31-day stretch.

That run, part of an MLS schedule designed to maximise the drawing-power of Beckham, has taken its toll. The most recent Galaxy injury report lists five players - Chris Albright, Kelly Gray, Ty Harden, Ante Jazic and Beckham - as out with injury.

Three others, including Cobi Jones and Abel Xavier, are questionable while four others are listed as probable.
