Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed that the club are in discussions with CSKA Moscow over Keisuke Honda.
The 27-year-old's contract with the Russian club is set to expire in December, and they are believed to be keen on a sale in order to avoid losing his services on a free transfer.
Milan have been most strongly linked with the Japan international, though Galliani insists he cannot yet reveal details regarding a potential move.
"Honda? We are in constant contact with the Russian club," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "At the moment there is no news.
"But even if there was I couldn’t tell you because we are bound by secrecy with CSKA."
Honda has made 107 appearances in total for CSKA, scoring 26 goals.
The former VVV-Venlo attacking midfielder has also been capped on 46 occasions by his country.
