Gallifuoco has signed a one-year deal with the National League club after leaving Torquay United.

The centre back spent the 2016/2017 campaign with Torquay after leaving Melbourne Victory in May 2016.

Gallifuco told FourFourTwo the appeal of joining Dover was the ambition of manager Chris Kinnear.

The Whites finished sixth, reaching the playoffs, in the National League last season.

"I was attracted to Dover because of many reasons but probably the biggest stand out for me was the gaffer," the 23-year old said.

"When he spoke to me I was so excited and motivated by his plans and vision for the future of the club and me personally, and that had me sold.
My hopes for this season are to have another good year and continue my growth as a player.

"Promotion is the goal, 100%. It's part of the attitude I love around here, they expect nothing less. Dover Athletic have been very close three years in a row and I'm hoping to be their lucky charm."

Gallifuoco, a former Joey, Young Socceroo and Olyroo, made 35 appearances for Torquay last season and helped them avoid the drop.

The defender went through the AIS program and moved to the UK in 2012 to join Tottenham's academy.

Gallifuoco left Spurs in 2014 and had a season with Swansea City's youth side before a brief spell in the A-League with Victory.
