OUT-OF-CONTRACT Socceroo Richard Garcia has confirmed he is still in negotiations with Championship club Hull City despite being ruled out with a knee injury for up to nine months.
Garcia, 29, underwent cruciate ligament surgery last month after suffering the injury late in the 2010-11 season.
The Australian winger had been offered a contract extension by the Tigers three months ago but they've withdrawn that offer now that there's uncertainty about his future following his injury troubles.
However, Garcia confirmed he was still in discussions with the club about a new deal and added he will be back training by December.
"Off the crutches at last! Three weeks of pure frustration," Garcia wrote on Twitter.
Garcia was asked by followers if they could expect to see him back in a Tigers shirt next season and he responded: “Not sure yet. Still trying to sort it out.
“Can't say more than I've said about contract issues. Hope you all understand.”
The Perth-born winger has also been linked with a switch to the A-League.
