The club is hoping a deal can be struck with the English Premier League clubs with the Cottagers and Toffees reportedly keen to make it happen.

Pre-season games against the Singapore and Hong Kong national teams are already being planned out but the club would love to see Cahill and Schwarzer at Skilled Park as well.

Coach Bleiberg told goldcoast.com.au: "With Everton there is obviously the Tim Cahill factor and the same goes for Mark Schwarzer with Fulham. We are not really chasing them, they are approaching us because they want a pre-season camp here and so it could suit both parties."

Bleiberg took in Everton's facilities on his recent recruiting trip to Europe and is delighted the two clubs are talking.

He said: "It shows that we are making an impression before a ball has been kicked and we welcome that."

Any match or matches would be held in June or July but nothing has been agreed at this stage.
