Melbourne Victory may have been on the losing side but defender Daniel Georgievski didn't walk away empty handed after picking up the Joe Marston Medal for an impressive performance in the A-League Grand Final.
Georgievski starred in his usual role at left-back during Victory's penalty shootout defeat to Sydney FC in Sunday's decider at Allianz Stadium.
He had 114 touches – the second most of all players – and six tackles, a tally only bettered by team-mate Alan Baro (seven).
Georgievski, who has signed with the Newcastle Jets for the next two seasons, also had a game-high 15 clearances.
He became the fourth Victory player to win the medal, following on from Archie Thompson (2007), Tom Pondeljak (2009) and Mark Milligan (2015).
Victory suffered a 4-2 shootout loss to the Sky Blues after the encounter finished 1-1, with Besart Berisha's opener on 20 minutes cancelled out by Rhyan Grant's second-half equaliser.
