Former Chelsea, Newcastle and Real Madrid midfielder Geremi, 32, has been released by Greek club Larissa.
A club statement read: "The club were very satisfied with Geremi's attitude but unfortunately he had difficulties adapting to life in Greece."
The 32-year-old had signed a two-year contract in August.
