SERBIA are Germany's main rivals in Group D according to Marko Marin, with the winger predicting Australia to defend and 'make us take the game to them'.
The Germans have suffered a massive blow with the loss of Michael Ballack but are still favourites to top Group D.
As for Serbia, they suffered a jolt at the weekend with a 1-0 defeat by New Zealand, a defeat which was also marred by bad behaviour by a minority of their supporters.
But Marin believes the Serbs and the Germans will battle it out for group honours.
"I see Serbia as our main rivals. They were excellent in qualifying and are a very solid side who keep things tight at the back," he told Fifa.com.
Ghana are dangerous opponents according to Marion - but what of the Socceroos?
Marin added: "Australia will look to defend against us and make us take the game to them."
